ATW Health Solutions’ Dr. Knitasha Washington to Serve on NQF Leadership Consortium
[Chicago, Illinois] – ATW Health Solutions is proud to announce its Founder and President, Dr. Knitasha Washington, is joining the National Quality Forum’s 2024–2025 Leadership Consortium, a prestigious and exclusive forum of experts from the public and private healthcare sectors.
During the first year, members of the Leadership Consortium will prioritize a key area of need in healthcare quality and develop and test actionable recommendations to drive improvement and instigate enduring change. In the second year, during the Implementation Collaborative phase, a subset of the Consortium will implement these recommendations in real-world healthcare settings within their respective organizations. All members of the Leadership Consortium will convene in a series of meetings to deliberate on insights gained, lessons learned, and promising practices identified through real-world implementation. The outcome and ultimate recommendations will be consolidated into a comprehensive report for wide dissemination among healthcare organizations. The aim is to facilitate the widespread adoption of these recommendations and solutions, addressing a critical priority shared across the healthcare ecosystem.
“I am thrilled to join this diverse group of healthcare leaders and experts,” Dr. Washington said. “It is an honor to have the opportunity to contribute my expertise and commitment to patient engagement, health equity, and healthcare quality alongside esteemed colleagues.”
The Consortium will consider the area of need to focus on in five topics:
Addressing youth mental health and suicidality
Improving postpartum care quality
Reducing implicit bias to provide affirming care
Supporting safe medication administration practices
Sustaining workforce capacity and training
“The topics we will consider are some of the most critical challenges in healthcare today,” said Shawn Griffin, M, FAAFP, president and CEO, URAC, one of the two Leadership Consortium co-chairs. “Being able to identify effective strategies for addressing any one of them could have a big impact. Participation in the Leadership Consortium is more than an honor for us as individuals or the organizations we represent. It is a chance to advance real progress on an important aspect of healthcare quality.”
“The National Quality Forum’s Leadership Consortium drives meaningful and lasting change in healthcare,” Dr. Washington said. “Their mission aligns with the mission of ATW Health Solutions: to transform healthcare delivery and policy to improve the lives of all people.”
