The Office on Women's Health (OWH) has awarded ATW Health Solutions the Postpartum Depression Campaign Pilot Implementation and Evaluation Contract

ATW Health Solutions is proud to announce that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office on Women's Health (OWH) has awarded ATW Health Solutions the Postpartum Depression Campaign Pilot Implementation and Evaluation contract.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office on Women's Health (OWH) launched the Talking Postpartum Depression campaign in September 2023 to encourage women to seek help for postpartum depression (PPD). PPD is a serious mental illness and public health problem, with an estimated 13.4% of U.S. women reporting PPD symptoms in the 12 months after childbirth. The campaign aims to destigmatize PPD through increased awareness of PPD symptoms, visibility of reliable resources, and understanding of ways to access care. This contract aims to implement the existing Talking Postpartum Depression campaign directly into a community-based setting to assess its effectiveness and further refine the messaging to meet the needs of women and families who may be looking for support and resources. This project will also identify gaps in knowledge among health care providers as it relates to serving patients with PPD to then develop training to increase the quality of mental health care services.
