Equity-Centered Design is a fundamental approach to shaping healthcare improvement initiatives, prioritizing fairness, inclusivity, and patient-centered care. It emphasizes the necessity for healthcare systems, services, and technologies to be crafted with equity at the forefront, ensuring they cater to the needs of all individuals, including patients, families, and the healthcare workforce.
Our facilitator training equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence essential for embedding equity considerations throughout the healthcare design and improvement process. Throughout the training, participants engage in hands-on activities, discussions, and workshops to delve into the methodologies, strategies, and techniques that are needed for this work. From understanding the unique challenges faced by diverse populations to facilitating design sessions that prioritize inclusive solutions, participants gain a comprehensive understanding of how to apply equity-centered design principles in their work. In addition to learning the skills to facilitate equity-centered design sessions, participants will also complete an actionable project plan that can be implemented following the sessions.
