Who We Are

We are a small woman and minority-owned business.

Our team works to improve healthcare systems and health outcomes for all people and is skilled at addressing some of the most complex health care concerns in the areas of policy, research, quality and health equity. We go beyond the framework of a typical and deeply explore the relationship between today’s healthcare challenges, our client needs, and evidence-based solutions. Our approach to healthcare quality and performance improvement fully integrates the values, expectations, and beliefs of patients and people into our transformative work.

Across all domains of our work, ATW uses in systems thinking, research, Patient-Family Engagement, and community Standard™ by taking a human-centered design approach to our clients employ ATW Health Solutions because of our unique approach of strategically integrating the frameworks of equity and engagement into our training as well as health care transformation work outcomes.

What Do We Do?

ATW Health Solutions is led by researchers, health care subject-matter experts and professionals. Our team brings our lived experiences that shape our understanding and recognition that all people (patients, caregivers, families, and communities) have not been afforded the education and opportunities to participate in or understand and achieve optimal health care and outcomes. We bring in the voices least heard at the community level into clinical research, market research, social science research and systems transformation work. We believe that who and how we engage is vital to improving health equity.

ATW Health Solutions works at the intersection of patient engagement and community engagement to translate meaningful messaging to communities, patients, people, and caregivers. Our team employs research experts trained in Experience-Based Co-Design and stakeholder engagement. Together our team has used our Engaged Health Center of Excellence (EHCoE) model to understand and solve complex systems concerns. Our EHCoE model has played a vital role in research, learning, outreach, and education.  The Center promotes innovation and establishes a fundamental standard within our organizational structure to advance improvements in your patient engagement and community engagement strategies. We do this primarily via research, and education.

Our Center provides a critical research infrastructure missing in the field today; fosters team collaboration; facilitates learning and communication.  The system relies heavily upon the inclusion of patients in all our work, performance measurement, and shared resources including systems for data gathering and analysis, instrumentation and computing, and the development of the targeted audience panels to advance learning.

At the core of our work are people. In addition to the PPIC Network, ATW Health Solutions has developed our ATW Public Health Trust Collaborative. The Trust is our network of exclusive strategic partners from academics, hospitals and health systems that support the constant evolution of research and development within the organization.

Equity in Action
We are not your typical patient engagement and equity advocates. We are not your typical consultants or health care researchers. We are health care professionals that understand health systems, operations, finance, and research but that also share a common goal of Raising Healthcare’s Standard™ by ensuring that all patients have the opportunity to understand and achieve their highest health status. The ATW Health Solutions team has lived experiences that shape our understanding and recognition that all people (patients, caregivers, families, and communities) have not been afforded the education and opportunities to participate in or understand and achieve optimal health care and outcomes. So who and how we engage is vital to improving health equity.
LISTEN AT YOUR LEISURE

The Patient Partner Innovation Community Podcast.

The Patient Partner Innovation Community (PPIC) is a network of people with experience in healthcare who are working through many different venues to improve the quality, safety, and experience of all patients. Many are volunteers in their own communities working directly with local and national healthcare organizations. ATW Health Solutions launched PPIC resulting from the expressed desire of patients, families and advocates to be able to network, share, learn from others and participate in healthcare transformation work.
